Hello! Today, I trained on Gale Digital Scholar Lab. It was intriguing that this tool has a lookup function where I can look at and directly import the scholarly articles from, like JSTOR along with all the digital analytics tools. The process is pretty simple– you look up or upload articles and document that you want to conduct the analysis on, and you press buttons. This must be super useful when doing research on the meta level rather than theoretical level. (i.e. not necessarily studying about how people commemorate the history of war-time sexual violence but how the academic discourses about it are.) I would love to look more into other examples of research because I see a big potential in this tool but my imagination is limited! I wanna learn from other people of use of this tool.
I also looked through the Gale Research Showcase. To be really honest I am too tired to make thoughts out of this observation so I will come back to this when I have more than 8-hours of sleep…
