Hello again! Welcome back to my blog posts. I am starting my work as a returning Vivero fellow, and I am excited to work with Dr. Feng on her project, “Grinnell College’s Early Chinese Alumni project.”
For new fellows, or future fellows, who are seeking advice to explore your Vivero journey, I would say: dive into other people’s work and project. When I started to build my portfolio last year, I looked through other people’s portfolios and modeled my template after another fellow’s. When I started my project with Elizabeth Cave, my past project lead, we also looked at some other example of CollectionBuilder. To understand how digital tools function, sometimes touching and exploring around the real-life (virtual) examples is the best way to figure things out.
